Adulto alimentando un juvenil de Tordo Renegrido. Los Tordos Renegridos no construyen nido así que la hembra coloca sus huevos en nido ajeno. Es una forma de parasitismo. La especie parasitada, en este caso el chingolo, a veces no advierte el engaño y cria el pichón - que puede ser más grande que el adulto - hasta que se independiza.
Adult feeding a Shiny Blackbird chick. Shiny blackbirds do not build nests so the female lays in nests of other species. This is called brood parasitism. The adoptive parents, in this case the sparrow, sometimes are not aware of the stunt and rear the chicks - which can be quite a bit larger - until they can fend for themselves.
