Outbound trip W e set off from BA, driving north, but stopping at Ceibas and later a short stop at Colón, Entre Ríos. We reached Mercedes after dark. We stayed 3 night at a bungallow known as Casa de Piedra. Here are the photos from this section of the trip: |

Mercedes On both days we repeated the following itinerary: Set off early, driving NW on RN 123 past Chavarría. At the roundabout we took RN 12 south, an turned off to the small town of Yatayti Calle. We spent all monring by the lagoon known as La Salada near this town. In the afternoon we headed back along unpaved roads towards Chavarría, reaching the paved road at dusk and driving to Mercedes in the dark. Here are the photos from this section of the trip: |

Estancia Rincón del Socorro Thanks to a special invitation we were allowed to visit this conservation property run by the Conservation Land Trust (CLT).
