Visita: Parque Natural Enrique Berduc - Paraná

El 6 de agosto de 2007 pude pasar 2 horas y pico en esta magnífica reserva. Corto... pero excelente, ya que pude hacer fotos de especies que no tenía aún fotografiada. La reserva queda unos 23 km al este de Paraná, unos 3 o 4 km pasando el autódromo. Se toma el acceso a la Escuela Almafuerte y de allé está señalado el camino hacia la reserva, tomando un desvío a la derecha que pasa por excelentes bosques nativos. El area de bosques no es enorme, pero suficiente como para dar cobijo a las especies propias de esta zona. Agradezco al guardaparques Jeremías por sus indicaciones. Llegue a la reserva en taxi. On the 6th August I was able to spend a little over 2 hours at this wonderful reserve, and was able to do photos of some species I had not yet been able to "get". The park is about 23 km east of the town of Paraná, the provincial capital of Entre Ríos, Argentina. It is about 3 or 4 km past the car racetrack. Take the turnoff to Almafuert school and follow the signs. I took a cab here from the town. I want to thank the warden, Jeremias, for his directions. The area with nativ forest is not too large, but enough for a large assortment of the sought-after species for this area. Enjoy the photos! Regreso a Berduc El 3 de diciembre pude visitar nuevamente para pasar una mañana en este hermoso sitio. Dediqué tiempo a tratar de fotografiar Chororó y Carpintero del Cardón, que estaba nidificando cerca de la casa del guardaparques. Pude visitar la zona del río, donde vi también Volatineros y Capuchinos, y "casi" obtuve lo que habría sido una foto memorable de 2 Gaviotín Chico, posado en un tronco emergente del río - pero se volaron un instante antes...

Berduc Revisited On December 3rd I was able to return to this place for a morning visit. I spent much time trying to photograph Greater Ant-shrike and White-fronted Woodpecker, nesting in the grounds near the warden's house. I also visited the coastal area where I saw Blue-black Grassquit and a seedeater, and "just" failed to get what would have been a memorable digiscoped photo of a pair of Yellow-billed Terns resting on a log protruding from the river - but they flew too soon...
